INTRODUCTION

At Cotteswold House we provide our guests with high quality Self-Catering accommodation offering the personal touch that only a small family-run business can provide. All bedrooms are on the first floor (not readily accessible for guests who have difficulties managing stairs). If you have any specific questions or requirements please contact us and we will endeavour to help.

Pre-Arrival

● This web site provides full details together with photographs and contact details.

● Bookings and enquiries can be made online or by telephone.

● A printed brochure is available on request.

● A local bus service (no. 855) operates between Bibury and Cirencester (7 miles) though is infrequent (click here for timetable).

● Nearest stations are Kemble (12 miles) and Swindon (20 miles).

● National Express coaches serve Cirencester.

● Local taxi service operates from Bibury.

● Cotteswold House is licensed to play music on the premises with 'PRS for Music' and to screen TV flims in rooms with 'MPLC'.

In the event that a problem arises during your stay regarding your accommodation, we would prefer that you raise it with the proprietors as soon as possible. Steps can then be taken to rectify it as quickly as possible so that you can continue to enjoy your stay with us.


SELF-CATERING ACCOMMODATION


Courtyard and Gable Cottages are a pair of semi-detached cottages built of local natural stone and situated adjacent to Cotteswold House Bed & Breakfast. Each cottage accommodates up to 4-persons. No-smoking throughout premises. No pets.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

● Unless other arrangements have been made, guests will be met on arrival and shown around their accommodation.

● Both cottages are approached through a level block-paved driveway.

● Parking is available for one vehicle adjacent to each cottage. Courtyard Cottage has an adjacent single garage. A level block-paved hard standing is provided for Gable Cottage.

● Vehicles can be unloaded at the front door of each cottage.

● Cottages are each entered via main door (83cm wide) with low threshold step (5cm) leading into ground floor accommodation.

● Driveway illuminated during hours of darkness. Each cottage has separate outside light (operated by switch inside cottage).

● We offer assistance with luggage on arrival & departure.

● Arrival time between 4:30pm and 10:00pm except by prior arrangement.

● Check out before 10:30am on day of departure.

● Owners live in adjacent Bed & Breakfast premises and are readily contactable, if required.

Description of Accommodation

General

● Both cottages are centrally heated with thermostat controls on all radiators for individual temperature control.

● All windows are double glazed (including Velux windows in most first floor rooms).

● Fitted short-pile carpet throughout (except vinyl flooring in kitchen and bathroom areas). Rugs used throughout accommodation to add contrast.

● Smoke/Fire alarms fitted on ground floor and first floor.

● Fire Point situated on ground floor with Extinguisher, Fire Blanket and Fire instructions.

● Wifi Internet access available.

Ground floor Accommodation

● Accommodation is open plan with Dining, Lounge and Kitchen (Courtyard Cottage also has a downstairs cloakroom with wc and washbasin):

Dining Area

Courtyard Cottage - Breakfast-bar style dining area with high stools around generous surface area (240cm x 90cm x 94cm height).

Gable Cottage - Rectangular table (100cm x 84cm x 74cm height) with 4 chairs. French dresser.

Living Area

● Both Cottages have 3-piece suite; 2 side tables with lamps; coffee table, digital television, DVD player, Bluetooth enabled DAB radio/CD.

Kitchen Area

● Major appliances include: integrate electric oven (with drop down door); electric hob (with extractor hood over); microwave; fridge; freezer; and dishwasher.

● Generous worktop area (92cm height).

● Spotlight-style ceiling lights.

Laundry facilities

● Both cottages equipped with washing machine and tumble-dryer for the exclusive use of guests. In Gable Cottage laundry facilities are in separate ground floor utility area and in Courtyard Cottage at rear of adjacent single garage.

First Floor Accommodation

First floor landing serving 2 bedrooms and bathroom reached by stairs with half landing (hand rail runs full length of stairs). Stair dimensions (approx):

Courtyard: 12 steps Tread = 86cm wide (min) x 24cm depth; Rise = 19cm

Gable: 12 steps Tread = 81cm wide x 27cm depth; Rise = 21cm

● All bedroom/bathroom doors are 70cm wide (approx).

Bathroom

● Bath (54 cm height) with shower over (shower head on flexible hose); washbasin (80cm height) with mirror and over-lighting with shaver socket. Toilet (seat height 42cm).

● Towels provided.

Bedroom (Double)

● One double bed with headboard - 137cm (width) x 183cm (length) x 58cm (height); accessible from both sides.

● Non-feather duvet/pillows are provided.

● Wardrobe, dressing table (with mirror), bedside cabinets with lamps and tub chair.

● Multiple USB charging points.

● Hairdryer.

● Wall-mounted digital television.

Bedroom (Twin)

● Two single beds with headboards - 92cm ins (width) x 183cm (length) x 58cm (height); accessible from both sides.

● Non-feather duvet/pillows are provided.

● Wardrobe, dressing table (with mirror), bedside cabinets with lamps. Tub chairs.

● Multiple USB charging points.

● Hairdryer.

● Wall-mounted digital television.
